We selected Carmen after seeing three different architects, she was friendly, professional and keen to really understand exactly what we wanted from our loft conversion and renovation project.  Carmen came up with a design that was perfect for how we wanted to live and also sympathetic to the style of building. She helped us through the planning permission process, and also getting quotes from and selecting a builder to do the job. We were extremely fortunate that she could take on the management of the project for us, and while an additional cost, I'm certain we reaped the benefits many times over. She ensured we had clear consistent communication with the builders and building control officer throughout the project. She was meticulous in drawing up the specifications, and able to check that they had been completed at each stage. Her weekly meetings with us and the builder made sure the time lines didn't slip and that any unexpected costs were properly quoted for and signed off at each stage.  We cannot recommend her highly enough, she is a great person to work with, an excellent architect and a fabulous project manager.
